Kim Kardashian’s famed selfies already earned her a book deal, and her fervent dedication to self-documentation has earned her a Super Bowl ad. Last night she went on Conan to debut the 30-second T-Mobile ad — a PSA spoof where Kardashian warns users not to waste precious data that could be used to admire the selfies she so carefully produces. It’s surprisingly funny (mostly because it’s true). Could it be that Kim K. has entered an era of self-awareness? She tells People,
“We really went over scene by scene and what selfies I thought would really showcase me and what I would do … I ski, I went to tennis camp growing up. So there are some things in the commercial that I don’t think people know about me.”
Well, you know, at least the ad is genuinely funny.
