A guy’s scent can tell you a lot about him: If he smells like Axe, he’s a 16-year-old man-child at heart; if I detect Light Blue, he’s likely pretty predictable. But a new men’s scent, an eau de toilette by Brioni, is a man’s perfume so good you’ll want to steal it and wear it yourself. At first spritz, strong notes of citrus poke through, until it fades into something vaguely licoricelike, reminiscent of Scotch. It makes me want to reconsider my general avoidance of black jelly beans. And I’ll never be giving it back.
