The Latest Vogue UK Cover Is a Diversity Milestone

Believe it or not, British Vogue has not had a solo black cover subject in a dozen years — not since Naomi Campbell in 2002. The Telegraph reports that Jourdan Dunn, the magazine’s February cover girl, is breaking that unfortunate streak. The model posted the image on Instagram with the caption: “‘I’m so Happy to finally say I’M ON THE COVER OF BRITISH VOGUE!!! Thank you @britishvogue, Patrick Demarchelier and Kate Phelan for making this happen and also thank you all for the Love and Support it means everything to me #2015YearOfTheDunn.” Between this and Dunn’s Burberry campaign co-starring Naomi Campbell, it looks like this really is shaping up to be her year.
