In perhaps the most far-fetched of the Gucci rumors yet, Tom Ford’s name has come up as a possible contender. “Page Six” reports that the house’s former creative director has been “mentioned” in the seemingly endless roll call of names. However, it seems unlikely that Ford could be packing up his pasties anytime soon; his camp issued a pretty stern denial to the column, saying, “This is absolutely and completely unfounded. His own brand is growing dramatically and he views that as the next 30 years of his life.” Apparently, you really can’t go home again.
