While other celebrities have resorted to parkas and ski masks to cope with the arctic chill that’s set in over the past couple of days, Rihanna’s approach to cold-weather dressing is more reminiscent of a high-schooler at a football game than a toddler on a snow day. Yesterday, she stopped by the VFiles store in Soho to pick up this complex two-in-one piece of outerwear, which appears to confer all of the excess and warmth of a woven blanket while also providing the illusion of wearing a varsity jacket, making for a sort of trompe l’oeil effect. Heading to Da Silvano for dinner, RiRi paired the innovative garment with a red bandana scarf, ripped jeans, and knee-high brown boots.
