The 60 Pieces You’ll See on Street-Stylers This Fashion Month

New  York Fashion Week officially starts tomorrow — and with that, the street-style circus (and competition!) begins again for another month. Last season, everyone brought out their normcore best, Moschino everything, and plenty of pregnant-belly-friendly outfits. This time around it’s winter, so expect to see the style stars bundled up in gigantic, Muppet-esque furs of both the real and faux variety. Sneakers are going to continue to be popular, especially this season’s answer to the Adidas Stan Smith: the Adidas Superstar. And of course there will be plenty of head-to-toe, straight-from-the-runway looks, especially by perennial street-style-friendly designers like Rosie Assoulin, Louis Vuitton, and Céline. So if you’re looking for a spot on the Cut’s best-dressed list, click ahead and take note of our predictions for the most street-style-friendly pieces of the season.

Hard-to-Get Sneakers Last year Adidas Stan Smiths were the shoe of choice and nearly impossible to get. This year the Superstar is either backordered or sold out, which means they're poised to be in every street-style shot. But if you can't get your hands on a pair, any of these other choices will do.

Manga Fur The weather forecast for NYFW calls for temperatures in the 20s so everyone will break out the big furs. Shrimps has been a consistent favorite for its faux styles, but someone will be walking around outside the Michael Kors show clad in this exact pink shearling coat.

Practical Pricey Parkas It's going to be cold, and it will probably snow. When street-stylers aren't wearing massive fur coats, they'll wear fur-lined parkas instead. And obviously Cara Delevingne will make an appearance in her own collection for DKNY.

Straight-From-the-Runway Looks Leandra Medine, we're expecting to see you in these Rosie Assoulin pants. Otherwise it's anyone's guess as to who will be wearing Jason Wu's suede jacket, Altuzarra's fur coat, or Burberry Prorsum's painted trench, but we're certain these runway looks will make an appearance.

Straight-From-the-Runway Looks (continued) By the time they hit Milan, the street-style competition gets serious. And what could lure photographers more than this opening look by Prada that has Anna Dello Russo's name all over it? Someone like Gaia Repossi will be wearing straight-from-the-runway Céline, while Saint Laurent's fluffy green fur and Louis Vuitton's head-to-toe wallpaper look will definitely be spotted in a photo or three.

Moschino Anything First it was SpongeBob everything during NYFW, but once the Barbie collection hit Milan, the mirrored cell-phone case was the bait of choice. Expect to see the phone cases everywhere, but at this point, if you wear anything from any Moschino collection, someone will want to take your photo.

Very Fancy Denim Simone Rocha's collaboration with J Brand debuted last season on Susie Lau, but expect to see the ruffly pieces pop up on others, especially in London. But if that's too subdued, embellished styles like Stella McCartney's multicolored gems or Tu Es Mon Trésor's rhinestone boyfriend jeans are sure to be bait for a close-up detail shot.

Flashy Hats Bucket hats first appeared last September, but it wasn't until the men's shows when they really started showing up everywhere. For those who are into the ’90s-throwback neon-bright beanies, the likes of Tak.Ori (a favorite brand of Miroslava Duma) are sure to be popular.

Quirky, Colorful Clutches It's not a Fashion Week unless someone's carrying an impossibly small, weird-looking clutch that only somewhat matches her outfit. Last season Anya Hindmarch, Yazbukey, and Benedetta Bruzziches were among the designers of choice, so they'll likely be popular again.

Any Coat by Sandy Liang Liang's label might only be a year old, but considering that the fur coats from her first season were photographed heavily, she knows what the street-style paparazzi want. Expect to see more of her outerwear on her famous friends like model Soo Joo Park this season.

Seasonally Inappropriate Sandals When we looked back at the shoes of the season from last March, sandals made up a significant portion. When you have a car service, you don't need to worry about cold toes, though we're betting (hoping?) most people won't break them out until they hit Milan.

Colorful Statement Bags Paula Cademartori is already a big favorite among the street-style stars, so her supporters will definitely be wearing her designs while Louis Vuitton continues to dominate as the designer bag of choice. But don't be surprised to see Coach's cartoon tote in New York and fluffy fur bags in London.

Unusual Skirts This is the only time where Junya Watanabe's midi skirt (with giant, protuding circles) or Au Jour Le Jour's sparkly apples pencil skirt would be normal, everyday wear.

Crazy Reflective Sunglasses Fact: Street-stylers are more likely than the average person to say, "Ooh, shiny," if photos like this are any indication. In other words, you'll see straight-from-the-runway sunglasses by the likes of Dior, Fendi, and Miu Miu.
Whimsical, Kitschy Chanel  If only so you can stage photos like this one between Anna Dello Russo and Leaf Greener.
