Yesterday, Madonna, an age-old expert at layering and avoiding sun exposure, arrived at JFK all bundled up in a black leather coat and fur-trapper hat, which she paired with her signature shades and fingerless gloves. To add some originality to the ensemble, she took special care before disembarking the plane to ensure that the left leg of her eggplant-colored leisure pants was rolled up just above her knee — revealing a single black-and-white striped soccer sock and coordinating sneaker wedge. It’s not the first time that Madge has tried out this inexplicable, intentional style: She sported a similar look with argyle and Adidas back in 2010.
