Since leaving his post at Schiaparelli in November, Marco Zanini has been a man without a label. But that may change very soon, according to a WWD report today. The paper says that Zanini is rumored to be taking over at Emilio Pucci after the brand’s show in Milan later this month. However, Zanini, who’s also held positions at Rochas, Halston, Versace, and Dolce & Gabbana, has denied the report. As for current Pucci creative director Peter Dundas, there is ongoing speculation that he could make a move to Roberto Cavalli. Between this and the Great Gucci Speculation of earlier this year, no one does internecine intrigue quite like the Italians. We’ve reached out to a rep for Emilio Pucci and will update this when we hear back.
