Between the Björk-heavy soundtrack and the Spike Jonze photographs of celebs like Drew Barrymore and Chloë Sevigny on the walls, nostalgia was at an all-time high during Opening Ceremony’s presentation last night.

Kids star Rosario Dawson couldn’t help but wax nostalgic while contemplating Jonze’s photos of skateboarders. “I grew up around skater culture in New York on the Lower East Side. This is the exact spirit and energy that I remember,” she said. “I was so inspired by Harold Hunter — Legends Never Die — who was in Kids with me. He was my person. I loved his whole steez and his way of being. He could fall like nobody’s business. He made everything fun and interesting.”

Unfortunately, Dawson never got the hang of it herself: “I tried skating. I’m too top-heavy. I could never get my center of gravity right. I tried so hard, but I could never master it.”
