20 Chic, Lightweight Spring Jackets to Wear Now

This may have been the winter of the Canada Goose, so we don’t blame you for wanting to throw that gigantic black puffer into a massive funeral pyre. But now that it’s finally above freezing, you can ditch the overstuffed parka in favor of something lighter. Here at the Cut, we rounded up the chicest lightweight jackets to wear from now through the spring. For mornings that still have a bit of chill to them, try a jacket with a little heft, like COS’s minimalist leather number. If you’re looking for a streamlined, classic coat, try Zara’s camel double-breasted version or Mango’s white topper with thin black piping. And if you’d rather really welcome spring with a burst of color, Raey’s bright-yellow coat and Opening Ceremony’s printed bracelet-sleeve version are literally sunshine and flowers. Click ahead to see all of those, along with the best trenches, bombers, and ultrathin parkas for the season ahead.

Upgrade from your standard black coat to this subtly patterned one as a way to lift your mood for spring.
Play up the flow-y nature of this trench by tying the belt in the back and letting it drape.
Were you obsessed with Céline's patchwork denim? If so, you'll like this denim jacket that nods to the look.
For cold mornings, try a flight jacket with a little warmth like this lined one that can handle temps as low as 25 degrees.
Style this wrapped coat with a white tee and light-wash jeans for a cool denim-on-denim look.
On hectic mornings you can toss this over a sheath dress and be out the door quickly.
If you're looking for a classic khaki trench, this long version is a good option that you can wear for seasons to come.
This slouchy coat is meant to be worn unbuttoned and works especially well with the '70s-style flared jeans that have made a comeback.
Athleisure for the preppy set.
April showers — not just a corny line but a reality in the spring. Prepare with a simple yet chic raincoat that doesn't look childish.
If you'd rather wear a dressier raincoat, this slick Trademark one can also double as your everyday coat.
Wear this tasseled parka with a pretty dress and slip-on sandals for a sporty but feminine look.
This is definitely one of the bigger investments of the bunch, but simple lines and clean silhouette mean it won't go out of style.
Its pale-blush hue is a good alternative to the classic khaki trench if you're looking for something different that is still tailored and pulled toget... In case you want to channel your inner Golden Peacock.
It's almost as good as wearing the comforter off your bed except you'll look nice and not crazy.
This cheerful coat has bracelet sleeves, so try layering it over a long-sleeved top in a contrasting shade like bright red or kelly green.
Bright yellow can feel like a wacky color choice, so you might as well just embrace it as your spring lewk.
Finding the right motorcycle jacket can be difficult, but consider this one by Veda. It has a slightly oversize fit so you can move freely, but is cut...
