Azzedine Alaïa may be an unassuming presence, but he’s still a pretty recognizable figure — just ask Cher Horowitz. However, apparently he’s not known to the Daily Mail, a fact that eagle-eyed Independent fashion editor Alexander Fury pointed out on Twitter. The paper wrote about Naomi Campbell’s mirth-filled romp through South London, but failed to I.D. the legendary designer as her escort. Instead, he was grouped under the rubric of “some of the locals” with whom the supermodel appeared to be enjoying an endless belly-laugh. The item, which has yet to be updated, ended with a typical Daily Mail sally: “Her natural beauty shone through despite a bit of a late night.”
