The season’s umpteenth fashion week kicked off in Australia this week, where the Sydney sidewalks are bursting with bright patterns and bold silhouettes. Showgoers hit the streets in wide-legged trousers, denim jumpsuits, and orange accent pieces, accessorizing with cat-eye sunglasses and sleek, minimalist bags. Whimsical, eccentric touches were everywhere, from a silk bomber jacket covered with embroidered palm trees to local designer Poppy Lissiman’s dragon-covered robe, to Leaf Greener’s kitty phone case (which she paired with a colorful Céline striped sweater-dress). Others opted for head-to-toe uniforms, whether they were full-on pinstripes, or, in the case of blogger Tanja Gacic, an outfit composed entirely of white lace. Click through the slideshow for these and more style highlights from the Australian sidewalks, shot by the Cut’s YoungJun Koo.
