Research from Dan Ariely, the behavioral economist and best-selling author, is about to become the subject of a feature-length documentary. The gist of the premise: Humans are big, fat liars. The film combines new findings from Ariely and others, along with the personal stories of people whose lives became tangled up in dishonesty. Three of the most interesting tidbits from the research, as revealed from the trailer: Lying is contagious; once you lie, you’re more likely to lie again; and the bigger your brain is, the better you’ll probably be at lying. The film will premiere in theaters and VOD on May 22.
