Following in the footsteps of designer turned director Tom Ford, Kate and Laura Mulleavy are going Hollywood. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sisters behind Rodarte have written, and will direct, a feature film titled Woodshock. Kirsten Dunst, an evergreen muse for the two, is set to star. Waypoint Entertainment, which is also behind Gus Van Sant’s latest film, will produce, while A24, the distributor behind Ex Machina, has bought the American rights to the movie. The details of the plot have not been revealed, but given the duo’s well-documented love of horror movies, it seems possible that a few shivers might be in the offing.
