Scenes From Paris Men’s: Pacifiers and Bucket Hats
The Paris menswear shows wrapped up over the weekend, marking the end of one of the more headline-generating men’s fashion weeks in memory — from the Rick Owens model who unfurled a “Kill Angela Merkel” sign on the runway to Junya Watanabe’s widely denounced “Rachel Dolezal” collection. Though there were no penis-peepholes at Paris Men’s Fashion Week this season, there was still plenty to see, from Hood by Air’s painful-looking mouth accessories to Thom Browne’s dubious “samurai” getups. Kenzo sent models in spiky sweaters out on a sandy moon-scape, while AMI went full normcore with bucket hats and distressed jean jackets. Click through the slideshow for a behind-the-scenes look at Paris’s biggest shows — including everything from Kendall Jenner getting ready at Givenchy to Marilyn Monroe–adorned collars at Dries Van Noten — shot by the Cut’s Kevin Tachman.
