Today, at 12:10 p.m., Vanity Fair tweeted its July cover, featuring a glowing Caitlyn Jenner in a white silk corset and the words, “Call me Caitlyn.” A mere four hours and three minutes later (at 4:21 p.m. precisely), Jenner’s Twitter account had reached one million followers, setting the world record for the fastest person to reach a million followers.

She eked past President Obama, who set the old record — five hours — only a few weeks ago. So far, Jenner’s first tweet, a shot of the cover, has been retweeted more than 160,000 times, and her second, “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.” garnered more than 170,000. Overall, more than 450,000 tweets have been published about Caitlyn Jenner today alone.
