How do you take in a fashion week when you’re an NBA star? The answer: very, very quickly. Fresh off his championship win with the Golden State Warriors, where the small forward and shooting guard was also crowned NBA Finals MVP, Andre Iguodala made his way to New York City for the inaugural New York men’s fashion week. The menswear style director of Twice partied, rubbed (very tall) shoulders, and took in some of Tuesday’s shows at Skylight Clarkson Square before jetting off to Los Angeles for the 2015 ESPY awards. The Cut joined him at his fitting with Calvin Klein, on a ride in a Bentley, and at the dinner he threw on Monday night. Click through the slideshow for a play-by-play and to hear what Igoudala thought about it all.

Iguodala with his stylist, Kesha McLeod, kicking off Fashion Week with a Monday-morning fitting in his hotel room at Trump SoHo "I was excited to attend the first-ever men’s fashion week in New York this week, especially after traveling to the fashion week in Paris after the NBA Finals last month. I was hoping to stay longer into the week but had to present at the ESPY Awards in L.A., so I just had to take in as much as I could on Monday and Tuesday."

Iguodala with Dwyane Wade at the New York Fashion Week: Men's kick-off party hosted by Amazon on Monday night "I began my CFDA men's fashion week by attending the launch party at the Amazon Imaging Studios in Williamsburg. It was definitely a kick-off party and it seemed like everyone there was excited to get the week going.
"It was good to see some familiar faces from my time in Paris a few weeks ago. I enjoyed meeting Joshua [Cooper] and Laurence [Chandler] at Rochambeau because I’ve been following them recently. It was also cool to hang out with Dao-Yi [Chow] and Maxwell [Osborne] from Public School." Photo: Stephen Lovekin/WireImage

Attending a dinner toasting men's fashion week at Catch (Suit by Michael Bastian) "I've established some cool relationships in the fashion world over the last year and I wanted to have an intimate setting where I could hang with everyone together. Luckily we had a bunch of hands bring it together quite quickly. My business adviser spearheaded the process, along with CÎROC and WWD. Bevel, JBL, and TIDAL all played a major part as well.
"There’s no doubt that I’ll continue to put events together like this because I love them. I'll try to focus on keeping them informal and less corporate. I really like seeing influencers in a comfortable environment and enjoying a cool evening. Great music and food usually does the trick." Photo: Shareif Ziyadat/WireImage

Taking in shows on Tuesday calls for street-style shots aplenty "I went to the Public School and Calvin Klein presentations on Tuesday and attended the Rochambeau show. I wish I could have stayed for more but it was important to me to see what I could take in during the limited amount of time I had."

Looks (from left to right): Calvin Klein, Rochambeau, Public School "I wore Calvin Klein to the ESPYs so it was great to visit with Italo Zucchelli at the Calvin Klein Collection presentation. We talked about the sea-blue, wool-blend, two-button notch-lapel suit and cerise dress shirt from the fall 2015 collection that I decided to wear and discussed a few of the other looks on display.
"Public School definitely had a lot of pieces I loved. Their look really resonated with me because they’re breaking down the walls between formal and informal. I'm definitely incorporating this in my style going forward.
"Rochambeau was the last show I took in. I was excited for it after spending time talking with Joshua and Laurence on Monday night at my dinner. I liked the looks on display in their show and have talked with my stylist, Kesha McLeod, on how we [can] incorporate pieces from their collection into my fall wardrobe. They definitely fit my aesthetic as far as where I see my style going forward." Photo: Imaxtree, Getty Images
