We fully expected Olivier Rousteing to do an early gifting of Balmain for H&M for a member of his much-photographed Balmain Army. And certified foot soldiers Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn did wear pieces from it when the designer announced the project at the Billboard Music Awards. But rather than showing up in a paparazzi shot, the latest look from the upcoming high-low collaboration — which launches in November — comes to us via Twitter. Elle France tweeted the shot, which, true to Rousteing’s style, appears to involve heavy embroidery, a strong shoulder, and a thigh-scraping hem. A Twitter drop does seem oddly appropriate for a collection that was itself announced via selfie.
