Lemaire for Uniqlo Might Be the Best Collab Ever

By Diana Tsui

After being teased with a few images in July, we finally get to see the entire collaboration between Uniqlo and former Hermès designer Christophe Lemaire. While these partnerships tend to be hit-or-miss in terms of quality and design, this time the collection, which will be sold both online and in select Uniqlo stores on October 2, is genuinely worth the hype. The sleek pieces aren’t pitching themselves as “more affordable” versions of more luxurious styles — instead, they’re simply good, trendless basics you’ll want to wear this fall and beyond.

Ranging from $39.90 for a white boatneck blouse to $189.90 for a sweeping cashmere robe-coat, the collection also features elegant work dresses, a waterproof convertible rain jacket, chic trousers, and cozy turtlenecks. At over 30 pieces, it’s fairly expansive, but certain items do stand out from the rest. If you were mourning the end of the +J partnership, click ahead to see the top buys that’ll scratch that same minimalist itch.

It turns out it's actually this cropped sweater, tied loosely around the neck — a useful note for future styling.
Still on the hunt for a solid winter coat without investing a ton of money? This chic, long style is a staple you can throw over a suit or jeans.
Wear this with the matching skirt and you have an elegant, monochromatic winter-white look.
There's something so striking about a white skirt, black tights, and black boots in the dead of winter.

Add cropped, slim trousers and you have yet another outfit to mix into to your weekday rotation.
Here's a layering piece you'll wear all winter. Try it with a button-up underneath — or if you're really freezing, a slim turtleneck.
Worn with pumps, it'll be your go-to fall work dress.
And should you prefer a long-sleeve style that can be adjusted to emphasize your waist, opt for this one.

Made from water-resistant cotton, this is a chicer take on the classic rain slicker.
