On Thursday Nordstrom launched SPACE, a specialty boutique curated by cool-hunter Oliva Kim. Before Kim was Nordstrom’s stylist and director of creative projects, she was vice-president of creative at Opening Ceremony, and she’s established a fashion-world reputation for flawless avant-garde taste. The SPACE collection features a mix of emerging and advanced designers like Simone Rocha, Marques’Almeida, and Jacquemus. “I want this to be a place of inspiration and education,” Kim explains. “A lot of these pieces are new and directional, but I want it to always feel inclusive.”
From covetable Vetements pieces to a faux-fur Shrimps coat, there are plenty of finds here to add to your closet. Scroll down for the best of the bunch.

There’s really no better staple than a black leather Acne Studios jacket ($2,800), but pairing it with this pleated Caitlin Price sweatshirt ($525) and skirt ($630) takes it to the next level. This is how to wear all black without being boring.

Much better than the usual winter puffer, this coat by Ashley Williams ($2,795) was knitted by hand. Wear with Undercover jeans ($1,020) and sweet Simone Rocha heels ($1,175) for a quirky feminine look with a hint of print.

This mod Creatures of the Wind shift dress ($2,400) is inspired by the ‘60s, with billowy bell sleeves intricately knotted at the elbows for dramatic volume and movement.

For this modern take on the classic bomber jacket ($940), Faustine Steinmetz added an orange brushed-wool asymmetrical panel to the front and a short zipper up top.

It’s no secret that Hannah Weiland is an expert in bright faux-fur outerwear like this playful Shrimps coat ($1,051).

There’s something so chic about a little see-through black dress with embroidered texture, like this Simone Rocha piece ($3,555). It’s the kind of dress you pull out to stun everyone on a special occasion.

Casually throw this Simone Rocha scarf ($1,005) on top of any outfit when you don’t feel dressed up enough. If you zoom in, you can see the strands of pearlescent beads on the frayed edges.

Demna Gvasalia of Vetements has already developed a cult following for her ability to update classics. Take this structured-yet-oversize menswear blouse ($690), which drapes long in the back so that you can wear it over a long skirt or tuck it into jeans. The matching cuff set ($1,750) has ten rows of crystals and is specially designed to slip over shirts and chunky knits.
