Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather started sparring last month — that’s when Rousey was handed her ESPY Award for Best Fighter and used the opportunity to K.O. fellow nominee and convicted abuser Floyd Mayweather. “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once,” she said. “I’d like to see him pretend to not know who I am now.” Mayweather was asked on SportsCenter what he thought of Rousey’s comments and he deflected to his favorite subject: cash. “I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter, or other boxer, make over $300 million in 36 minutes,” he said. “When she can do that, then call me.”
In a new interview with TMZ Sports, Rousey said she’s just more efficient — before calling him a moron. “I actually did the math and given the numbers of my last fight … I think I actually make two to three times more than he does per second. When he learns to read and write, he can text me.” The folks at For the Win did more math, and even though Rousey’s exact payouts aren’t disclosed, it’s unlikely that she really does make more per second. Still, she continues to win the battle of wits.
