Milan Fashion Week has a reputation for being a little buttoned-up, but this season’s parties involved cameos from some of the world’s least-staid celebrities. On Thursday, Courtney Love performed and then partied with robots at the Philipp Plein show, and on Friday, Bulgari treated guests like Olivier Zahm to a dinner party. Then, Riccardo Tisci somehow upstaged his New York Givenchy party with a stand-out Italian one, where Nicki Minaj performed for a crowd including Donatella Versace, Carine Roitfeld, and Joan Smalls. The next night’s amfAR gala drew Dakota Johnson, Debbie Harry, and Ciara, who enthusiastically wore a freshRoberto Cavalli dress with a giant train. Naomi Campbell turned up in a long, lacy black gown, matching models like Heidi Klum and Binx Walton, while Natasha Poly and Behati Prinsloo both went for short black hemlines.
Click through the slideshow to see those highlights and more from the best parties in Milan, including face-painted models posing on wrecked cars at Givenchy, and Alessandra Ambrosio in neon Dsquared2.
