Tina Fey Has the Butt of a Noble, Mythological Creature

Comedians making self-deprecating jokes about their bodies is nothing new. But, while discussing her Emmy dress last night on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Tina Fey added a magical element to the conversation.

Fey, whose show The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt received seven Emmy nominations, noted that her backside is becoming more prominent. She’s “centauring,” she explained, likening herself to the half-horse, half-human creature that appears everywhere from Shakespeare to ancient Greek texts.

It seems sort of mean (beastly, even) to compare your own butt to a horse haunch — and Fey cited J.Lo as in on the trend, which Lopez may not appreciate — but Fey claimed that the transformation is actually powerful, noble, and “of the gods.” And really, who wouldn’t want a butt that could be described as “mythological”?
