Can Any Celebrity Be Interesting for 24 Hours Straight?

For some reason, Harper’s Bazaar asked Allison Williams to document 24 hours of her life for their December issue — from waking to sleeping and everything that happens in between. (Really, not so much!) Here are some highlights:

9 A.M:The first thing I do when I wake up is look at my phone. My husband, Ricky Van Veen [the pair married in Wyoming in September], is already up. I check my e-mail and delete any junk—I try to keep my inbox at zero—and read theSkimm.”

9:15 A.M:I get out of bed and brush my teeth. I wear a retainer at night, so I brush it, dry it off, and put it in its little house because no one wants to look at that. While I’m doing all of this, I listen to podcasts.

9:30 A.M. I get dressed. If it’s a non-workday, I get ready to go to Pilates. I wear Lululemon exercise thongs—I’m obsessed with them—and Spanx exercise pants. This is my gift to you: Spanx makes the most incredible exercise spandex.”

12 P.M. If I’m heading out to a meeting, I do my makeup, and then I usually wear a dress, since it’s one piece and you’re done.”

1 P.M. “If I’m running around, I may not have lunch, but if I’m home I’ll make something.”

2 P.M. Between meetings I go to a coffee place.”

9 P.M. I change into what I call ‘cozy clothes,’ which consist of head-to-toe cashmere in the winter, and sweatpants and an oversize sweater of some kind in the summer. “

11 P.M. “When we get back home, I sing ‘Edelweiss’ to Moxie; I have since she was a puppy, and she falls asleep the minute she hears itthen I write once I get into bed. I have a journal called ‘One Line A Day,’ which tracks entries for five years, so I can see what I did, say, on August 31 from 2012 to 2015.”

It’s brave of Allison Williams to offer this honest portrayal of her life, because, really, it’s reassuring to know that even though they have money, access, and the ability to call up other celebrities and important figures, stars really are just like us: boring. So boring.
