The weather’s been unusually warm this week, but don’t be fooled — it’s definitely still boot weather. On Thursday, Frye will be setting up a leather workshop where you can get a custom monogram design on an item of your choosing. The workshop includes a demonstration in which head designer and creative director Alfred Stadler of Alfred Stadler Life Style will customize a purchased Frye item, either with stitching or embossing.
Frye is also offering a demonstration explaining the tools and processes involved in traditional leather saddle-stitching, along with a custom monogram design on any item of the customer’s choosing. And if that’s not enough incentive to stop by, the first 20 customers will get to try their hand at the process on a separate piece of leather, and build their own key fob. Frye’s Pioneer Works event will be this Thursday, November 5, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the company’s Soho flagship store.
