The writing was on the wall. Four months after shutting down its print publication and firing most of its staffers, Lucky ceased operations for its online editorial arm last week. The past few years have been a steadily declining slide for the magazine. Condé Nast unloaded Lucky to e-commerce conglomerate, BeachMint, shortly after anointing social-media heavyweight Eva Chen as the magazine’s editor-in-chief. Chen left after a very short tenure, and in recent months, Lucky switched from a monthly to a quarterly print format. With LuckyMag.com’s last online posts all from October 30, it seems that Lucky is officially done, once and for all.
