Target Sweater Outrages Lucky Few Still Capable of Feeling

The few remaining people on earth still capable of experiencing emotion are outraged this week over a Target sweater, not because it’s ugly (which it is), but because of its reference to obsessive-compulsive disorder. The sweater, which reads “OCD: Obsessive Christmas Disorder,” makes light of mental illness and “continues to enforce the stigma against those who suffer,” detractors argue.

Target apologized to any customers it offended with the pullover but said it would continue to sell the item in stores, an unfortunate decision for the tens of people whose sense of right and wrong has not been permanently damaged by the internet outrage machine.
