It’s been a year of ups and downs for Natalie Massenet, who parted ways with Net-a-Porter, the company she founded, and began laying the groundwork for a mystery project called Imaginary Ventures. Still, she’s definitely ending 2015 on a high note, having been named to Queen Elizabeth’s New Years Honours list. (She previously received an MBE in 2009.)

“I am thrilled and completely overwhelmed to be awarded this honor,” Massenet told The Telegraph. “I also feel humbled by it because during my career I have been privileged to have worked with so many brilliant and inspiring people, all of whom have contributed to the success of our fashion industry.” In addition to her work with Net-a-Porter, Massenet has staunchly promoted homegrown fashion as the British Fashion Council chairwoman, a role she has held since 2013.
