The ornate spectacle that is men’s fall fashion week in Paris commenced yesterday. With hair slicked into spiked mohawks, Haider Ackermann’s models wore embellished velvet and leather jackets. Raf Simons presented his first collection since leaving Christian Dior last fall, showing a grunge-inspired array of cozy V-neck sweaters and cardigans with moth-eaten hems and necklines. Walter Van Beirendonck accented gingham frocks and white suits by giving models coolly designed black eyes.
