Louis Vuitton might not be a brand you’d associate with zines, but that’s exactly what Season Three — a book documenting the fall 2015 collection — feels like. The third in a series started by Nicolas Ghesquière and Juergen Teller when Ghesquière took over as Vuitton’s artistic director in 2014, it follows the collection from the months of preparation before the show to the months of publicity and campaigns after.
Somehow, though, the book feels intimate rather than corporate: Even the press-kit images, which Teller shot in a grimy department-store stairwell, make the runway clothes feel a little DIY. Many of the rest of the photos were shot backstage and in hotel rooms, capturing models like Lineisy Montero brushing their teeth in the days before the show. Click through the slideshow to see Teller’s documentation, which is out from Steidl on January 26.
