Look, I don’t want to tell you how to live your life, but if you’re getting engaged for a second time because the first time didn’t work out, it’s probably a good idea to get a different ring. You know, in case your current fiancée finds a photo of your ex-fiancée wearing the ring you just gave her, and then flies off into a rage.

Unfortunately for both parties involved, 43-year-old Inga Daftartiene was charged with misdemeanor battery after finding herself in this exact situation. After discovering her fiancé had regifted her with an old engagement ring, she “grabbed a metal object” and threw it at his head, leaving him with “minor bruising.” I know getting old-girlfriend jewelry sucks, but there’s no excuse for violence.

Guess that engagement ring will be saved for another woman. Third time’s the charm!
