The world’s fastest girl is only 17, but that only makes the prospect of racing her all the more daunting — especially when you’re a scaredy-cat dude. Candace Hill says that when she practices with the boys’ track team at her school, the guys come up with all sorts of excuses to avoid having to race her.

“The boys are too scared to run against me,” Hill told Seventeen. “They’ll take longer to get ready or ‘forget’ something in the locker room when they know I’ll be at practice with them.”

Can’t really blame them, though. Candace broke the 100-meter record last year by running it in 10.98 seconds. Meanwhile, the fastest you’ve moved recently was on the trip from your couch to your bed. Perspective!
