Margaret Kleveland and her sister, Katherine, had always talked about starting a clothing line together, but they put it off for years. Katherine was the executive vice-president of design at Joie while Margaret worked in design development at B&B footwear, but eventually they both lost interest in running companies owned by men. So they found five female partners to help them make their line, Dôen, a reality.
