While many 17-year-olds are deciding which Snapchat filter to use, Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna has an even more difficult decision to make: Which Ivy League school should she attend? After all, she got accepted to all eight, plus MIT and NYU.
The high-school senior, who is the daughter of Nigerian immigrants, says that it was her parents who encouraged her to work so hard in school. Not only was she accepted to every nerd’s dream schools, but she was an Intel science finalist and recently received an invitation to the White House Science Fair.
Augusta is not sure where she’ll end up yet. She cordially said, “Attending one of those schools, any of them, would be such a great honor.” (I think we can safely assume that she was not thinking of NYU when she said that.)
