Fashion ingenue Ian Connor, a staple of Yeezy Season One, dismissed accusations this week that he raped a woman named Malika Anderson in 2014. Anderson had accused Connor of rape in a blog post from last week titled “Ian Connor Is a Rapist, and I Know Firsthand.” In addition to her accusation that Connor raped her, she says that he has preyed on many women: “In short, he is a predator. He seeks out girls on social media that he can try to ‘woo’ or whatever and then try to fuck and if they say no, well he takes it.”
Connor took to Twitter to vaguely defend himself against Anderson’s accusations, saying, “Ain’t No Coincidence I Make My First Big Magazine Cover For A Bitch To Make Up Allegations For Her Own Self Esteem Purposes.” Connor’s debut cover of British magazine Exit came out last week. Connor also maintained that he has “honesty on his side.”
But a police report obtained by Broadly tells a different story than Connor’s numerous denials. An incident report for an alleged sexual assault was provided to the site by the DeKalb County Police Department in Georgia, and the date of the incident — October 5, 2014 — matches the date in Anderson’s blog post. The investigation of sexual assault against Connor is still active. Broadly reports that another woman from Chicago, artist Jean Deux, wrote that Connor raped her in 2013.
