Guillaume Henry, the designer of Nina Ricci, wanted the dress he designed for his date tonight, Dakota Fanning, to look “as light as the wind and as shiny as a rain of sequins,” he told the Cut. Henry customized look No. 18 from his fall-winter 2016 show, a charcoal velvet gown with a dramatic ribbon detail, for the actress, adding a low-cut back detail. “It’s important that she feels good,” he says. Henry exclusively shared his sketch, above left.
