Gisele’s $700 Book Is Back

It must be nice to have thousands of people willing to pay $700 for over 500 pages of your face. Such is the life of Gisele. The 1,000 signed editions of her book, Gisele Bündchen, sold out in a day. But now it’s back in it’s neon-rainbow glory.

The new edition was released on May 10 from Taschen. This version is smaller, unsigned and doesn’t have the same neon plastic sleeve that the limited edition did. Similar to Naomi Campbell’s book, Gisele Bündchen chronicles the model’s prolific 20-year career, complete with an introduction from Steven Meisel in which he remembers originally thinking that she was a “‘70s hippie boy” on set.

“Some of the images here were initially never envisioned to be published,” Gisele writes in her introduction. “The raw portrait by Chuck Close and the nudes by Mario Sorrenti were a few that I always thought would remain unseen. But after a lot of consideration, I realized these images were also part of my story, and as it turned out, the least glamorous images were some of the most true and vulnerable ones I’ve ever taken.” Click ahead to see the bikinis, baby alligators, and stuffed leopard heads.
