Last night, at a Swarovski-sponsored party, CFDA Award nominees got to ask a fortune teller to predict their chances of winning. Despite this sounding like the perfect premise for a fashion cat fight, the evening did not end in any brawls.
The womenswear, menswear, and accessory-design nominees gathered at 100 Barclay. Each designer made a custom crystal pennant that was then placed on a giant pinwheel, continuing the circus motif. Each pennant reflected the designer or brand’s personal style, from a 25,000-crystal Gigi Hadid by Brandon Maxwell to a horse-hair pennant by Ryan Roche.
