Trump Very Sure He Wasn’t Talking About Megyn Kelly’s Period

Donald Trump isn’t one to hold back, whether it’s about the singular delight of a taco bowl or the virtues of his daughter Ivanka, but he would never be so crude as to discuss menstruation.

Trump continues to be haunted by comments he made about Megyn Kelly after a GOP debate last August. He’d told CNN’s Don Lemon after one of the GOP debates that it seemed as if “there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” while she was grilling him. It’s a colorful turn of phrase he’s come to deeply regret. We know, because he won’t stop talking about it.

Trump issued yet another non-apology Friday night at a rally in Oregon.

I said nothing wrong because I never finished my statement. Remember, I said like, “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.” I was talking her ears or her nose. Everybody said, “Oh, that’s terrible what he said.” I didn’t say anything … You know why I didn’t finish the sentence? Because I love what I’m doing so much. And I didn’t want to waste any more time, who cares? So when I didn’t finish the sentence, they all figured coming from someplace else and because they have all dirty minds — I never even thought about it … I was thinking of ears or nose.

After his menstrual misstep, Trump went back on CNN a few days later to declare, “I cherish women … Who would say that? Do you think I’d make a statement like that? Who would make a statement like that? Only a sick person would even think about that.”

Anyway, you should feel free to continue live-tweeting your flow (or whatever you call it) at Trump.
