Anne Hathaway has a new role this year: She will be joining other A-list celebrities working with the United Nations to promote gender equality.

Hathaway will be working as the latest global goodwill ambassador with U.N. Women, the agency within the United Nations that focuses on gender equality.

Within her role, Hathaway plans to focus specifically on gender discrimination within the workplace. As an advocate, she’ll focus on issues that affect families like parental leave and affordable child care, according to ET.com.

“The appointment of Anne is timely because this year UN Women is driving hard to foster more positive mindsets and practical arrangements around workplaces that build and support equality for women,” Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, the U.N. Women executive director, said in a statement.

Hathaway will be in good company. Emma Watson, Nicole Kidman, and the princess of Thailand are goodwill ambassadors.

We’re looking forward to seeing what changes are achieved.
