Last week, the world learned the inspiring true story of Ari Nagel, a 40-year-old math professor and altruistic spreader of his seed: Nagel has 22 children with 18 different women, the majority of them via sperm donation that occurred in a public restroom.
Nagel told the New York Post that his multiple offspring didn’t affect his dating life, though now it may be clearer why: The Post is now reporting that Nagel has actually been married for 10 years. A source told them that his wife, Roxane, is “devastated” by the news and “had no idea this was happening.”
The couple have three children, who are 12, 5 and 2. Nagel insists that Roxane knew what was going on all along and that their younger two children were a direct result of Roxane’s feelings about his sperm donation. “When she saw me donating to all these women, she asked, ‘Why are they worthy and I’m not?’”
Nagel called their marriage “complicated,” and by complicated, he meant “she didn’t support it. She always wanted me to be a regular, traditional spouse.” (Wives, amiright? Always insisting their husbands not give away sperm willy-nilly in public bathrooms.) Meanwhile, Roxane told the Post, “I have nothing to say. What’s done is done.”
With all these twists and turns, it’s a wonder that Bathroom Daddy hasn’t been picked up yet by TLC.
