
On Thursday night in Glasgow, Scotland, Beyoncé held a moment of silence for black people in America who had lost their lives to police brutality. Behind her, a screen lit up with the names of the hundreds of people who had been killed by police, including Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, two of the latest victims of police violence in America. She then launched into a stirring a capella rendition of one of the standout tracks on Lemonade, “Freedom,” video for which is below.
