Among the C-list celebrities to speak at the first day of the Republican National Convention on Monday was Scott Baio, the Happy Days actor and adamant supporter of Donald Trump. In his speech, Baio eschewed the day’s theme (Make American Safe Again) for his own catchphrase: Make America America Again. He also expressed his undying love for Trump, a man who is doing this from the goodness of his heart.”

Hall didn’t hold back. After Baio explained that “Make America America Again” was all about “getting back to faith,” she asked, “Where was your moral compass when you put a photo of a woman you disagree with politically” up on Twitter?

“You can look at it any way you want,” Baio said. “It’s the word ‘count,’ that’s what she’s standing in front of, I just put it up there. There’s no commentary attached to it, I didn’t call her anything.”

Hall then mentioned the time Baio tweeted a photo of Michelle Obama with the caption, “Wow, he wakes up to this every morning.” “Does joking about a woman that way make America great again?” she asked. “Does that make America America again?”

Baio: No, it’s a joke about a woman yelling at her husband. We talk about, ‘Oh my wife is breaking my chops today.’

Hall: But that’s not your wife; that’s the First Lady.

Baio: We do it about everybody’s wives. So what?

Hall: Is it the moral compass that you want to present to people and to your fans that you have this incendiary tweet about Hillary Clinton … or the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, regardless of her color or appearance? I’m just asking: Is that the higher Scott Baio?

No wonder he gets along so well with Donald Trump.
