This time last year, Uniqlo unveiled its collaboration with former Hermès designer Christophe Lemaire to high acclaim. Now, the Japanese retailer has elevated Lemaire to the position of in-house artistic director. His first project in the new role is Uniqlo U, an elevated, style-conscious line that “eschews transitory trends.”
The collection stays true to Uniqlo’s hallmarks of comfort and universal design, albeit with a notably on-trend sporty edge. The range will include 50 women’s and 34 men’s items. It’s set to debut both in stores and online on October 14, but you can see some of our favorite pieces below, including the striking burnt-orange puffer and burgundy parka — both surefire hits.
