If there’s one thing Taylor Swift is now, it’s extremely cool. Back in the early 2000s, however, she had a Myspace account where she posted embarrassing stuff about squirrels. Buzzfeed recently found a treasure trove of Swift’s old blogs, which you can peruse here. The best one is this post about Blender magazine, from 2008:
I’m going to be on the cover of the issue of Blender magazine that’s coming out March 11! Blender’s a really edgy music magazine that almost NEVER has country artists on the cover.
This one, from the same year, is also good:
The HIGHLIGHT of my TRL experience was getting to talk to Rihanna. I love Rihanna. She’s amazing and gorgeous and SO cool to talk to. A lot of the time, superstars have huge entourages around them and its really intimidating and weird. But Rihanna had one, maybe two people with her. It was so cool to see that. We talked backstage during commercial breaks and she was real and outgoing and funny. Yay. :-)
And this one, from 2007, is so Taylor:
I saw a black squirrel outside my bus, climbing up a tree. It was a BLACK squirrel. I mean, who knew that squirrels were ever anything but gray? I walked around telling everybody about it, and nobody believed me. It was great.
A black squirrel. Imagine anything being BLACK? Crazy.
