J.Crew’s Backstage Was the Best Backstage of Fashion Week
In Fashion Week photos, the runway backstage is often depicted as a flurry of high heels, half-dressed models, and women in black whispering urgent messages into headsets. It’s the stressfully glamorous amuse-bouche to the runway.
But leave it to J. Crew to take backstage photos that make it look like as breezy and all-American as the brand itself. When all the models are “friends of the brand,” things are a lot less tense. Cast and crew — in headsets and ball gowns — united in the Bosco photo booth to commemorate the collection and show, definitely adding to the “hang out” vibe that womenswear designer Somsack Sikhounmuong was so excited for.
