Yesterday was the first day of September to feel like fall, and stylist Rachael Wang dressed accordingly in red gingham and jeans. This wasn’t your standard apple-picking ensemble, though: The top is voluminous and cinched at the waist, the jeans are perfectly cropped at the ankle, and the heels are just the right amount of ungainly (proving the “ugly shoe” trend is still alive and well). This is the point in Fashion Week where you either go big or go home, and Wang’s a former Golden Peacock winner — she never disappoints.
