Instead, the designer turned to ’80s club culture, Harajuku teens, and Lana Wachowski — the acclaimed director and face of his Spring 2016 campaign — for inspiration. The result was a parade of overwhelmingly white models who walked the indigo runway with faux rainbow dreadlocks perched upon their heads.
