David and Victoria Beckham have a handful of uniquely named children that we’ve heard about periodically over the years. Brooklyn gained fame for dating Chloë Grace Moretz, Harper for being a fashionable baby, Romeo for modeling, and now the Scooter Braun–managed Cruz is stepping into the spotlight the old-fashioned way: by recording a Christmas song.
The second middle Beckham child, 11, debuted his new single, “If Every Day Was Christmas” on Tuesday evening, saying that it included “two of my favorite things: singing and Christmas.”
The lyrics include the line, “If every day was Christmas, then I could be with you, underneath the mistletoe, kissing you when nobody knows.” Cruz also mentions other things that are undoubtedly far more interesting to 11-year-old boys, like, “If every day was Christmas, then they’ll be gifts all year.”
As for early reviews of the song, well, ah, Piers Morgan has since criticized David and Victoria for their son’s foray into music. All proceeds of “If Every Day Was Christmas” are going to the charity Make Some Noise.
