Famous, fashionable people started partying at the Critics’ Choice Awards this week, where embellished black and white gowns dominated the red carpet. Nicole Kidman and Emma Stone wore black cutout dresses, Janelle Monae appeared in a checkerboard dress, and Sarah Paulson chose a pearl-encrusted gown by Vera Wang. Viola Davis won Best Supporting Actress and gave a moving speech while accepting the #SeeHer honor.
Elsewhere, Felicity Jones wore a regal-looking lavender gown by Giambattista Valli to Rogue One’s launch after-party. Emma Stone wore a floral-printed blouse to a La La Land reception. Click ahead to see more party pics from this week.
